Because I had only one skein I did 6 repeats instead of the 7. There is not quite enough yarn in one skein for 7 repeats.

About the edging I would like to make some notes here that I think will really help if someone so chooses to read them.

The pattern says to repeat ending on row 33 as the last row. I actually did the main pattern repeat and ended on row 35. But on your last 2 pattern rows you need to do a slight change. At the peak on row 33 just make 1 YO. and at the peak on row 35 do yo, k1, yo. this will set you up for the edging. And also you will need to start the edging pattern on pattern row 5. It should go smoothly with these changes.

this is coming along nicely. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around how the pattern repeats work (this is my 1st shawl) and then I looked up useful notes on the project page and found a FAQ page. and there is a red line chart which made it “click” for me so I transferred the lines to my chart. Really you don’t need a left side and right side to the pattern as it’s symmetrical and only need to follow one pattern for both sides.
