continuing on as is. She said she is going to deal with the color and really wants this in this shade. I made a swatch so she can work out if the color can be fixed
I redid chart 1&2 so that the decreases are symmetrical. this is a standard Shetland lace pattern and the decreases should be mirrored (ssk & k2tog) and the double decreases centered (s1 k2tog psso).
Project stopped untill we are sure the bleeding won’t be a problem. this is a wedding shawl and we don’t want color transfer to the dress
I made a swatch and gave it to my friend. she as able to fix the dye and it came out well so we are back to business.

bound off. I bound off “in pattern” at the double decreases I worked them while doing the bind off. On the points I yo, passed last stitch over, k1, slipped back and k2tog (placed bead), yo passed last stitch over. and continued on in pattern working a k1, k1 k2tog bo.
I placed a bead on each point during the bo.
I have created a blog post with details and charts for my bead placement. Please refer to it for more details on how I did my shawl. There is also a blog post attached on how to create a garter tab that you don’t have to pick up stitches to create. Just click the “blog post” tab in the upper right corner for links to the posts.
I just wrote the blog post about my changes and beading placement so it’s not showing up in the tab at the moment. you can find it here. I will link through the tab when it’s available.
