I purchased this from Craftsy as a kit. This is the first time I have used Sprightly yarn. I like the texture and weight of the yarn. I am in love with the color I chose. I think it will be perfect for this project.

The only negative thing I have to say about the yarn so far is that finding the center to pull from is like trying to produce the mythical creature that is a unicorn. I actually wound all this yarn into cakes because trying to pull the yarn from the outside end is just painful. Out of 6 skeins, 3 had knots in them, but I don’t think that is unreasonable, so not a big deal to me.

The color of this yarn is a true purple, but dusty in nature. It is not too bright or too dark.

As far as the pattern goes, I am nearly finished with the body of this and can say that it works up very quickly and has been super simple so far. Hopefully the sleeves will also go as smoothly. Will modify once I have gotten that far.

Update: 4/30/17: I liked the way Beca50 did a ribbed collar so I made that same modification. I was on the fence about just adding a large ruffle all the way around it, but I may do this patter again. I am nearly finished and just pending adding the cuffs.

5/6/17: I finished this today. I was only pending the sleeves. I can say that this is a great, relaxed little cardi. I love the modification to the collar and I will probably make this one more time and give it a ruffled edge all the way around except the sleeves. It was super simple.
