I already had this yarn and my other WIP was getting too large and too hot to have on my lap so I decided to give this a try. It is a fast moving project and so far is turning out quite lovely. I mixed up the yarns since I had a mix of two different blue color ways.

It is less hot having a square on my lap at any given time than working a contiguous blanket. The join as you go keeps you motivated since you won’t have all that work at the very end of your project attaching everything. It took me two afternoons to get 6 squares done, so nice project to bring along and you can attach once you are home.

As you can see from the squares either incomplete or not attached yet, they are quite wonky and don’t hold their shape well. Don’t be concerned. Once you start attaching, it pulls itself together quite nicely and that is in fact part of the charm of these hypnotic squares.

I completed this weeks ago. I just forget to post the pics. I used two different colors of blue in the Caron Cakes line. I like the way it came out, but it definitely needed to be blocked. The pictures were before blocking.
