I just started this project kit from Craftsy. If this is on your project list, just a few pointers before you get started. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. This is labeled as a beginner project. Truly I believe it is a beginner project, but the instructions will make you think otherwise.
Read through the instructions a few times. Then number them or label them in someway so that you know what sections go in what order. As the instructions are laid out, you will have to flip back and forth. In just the first chevron section at the bottom hem, the instructions for a single row of knitting actually resides on 3 different pages of the printed pattern. The first section after the initial seed stitch section is 32 rows, so do the math, that is flipping back and close to a hundred times. So re order instructions in a way that is meaningful to you and do this BEFORE you start knitting. Trust me, you will save yourself time and aggravation.
If I didn’t absolutely love the style of this pattern and it’s simplicity, I would have used this yarn for something else. It isn’t that the pattern is poorly written, it is poorly organized. That said, it is truly an easy pattern once you get going.
As far as the yarn goes - it is beautiful with a nice sheen. It is my first time using this particular cotton yarn and I love it! Pictures rarely reflect the color appropriately. This yellow rose color looks exactly like that. A perfect, soft yellow rose of summer.
