I saw this pattern and loved it. I decided to use a bunch of yarn I have a ton of in all different colors. Because my yarn is a wool sock yarn, I decided to double up and knit this with two different colors/strands at a time. It is super dense and thick and squishy. In hindsight, I probably should have gone up one needle size, but it still works quite nicely.

I won’t finish this anytime soon as it is getting to warm to have it on my lap to work on it, but I will finish it up in the fall when it starts to get cold.

For anybody looking to try this pattern and might be afraid of the short rows and mitered corners (because I was), I have to say after a few tries, it all started making sense. Once you have that part down, this couldn’t be any more simple and straight forward. It’s incentive to work until you get to the next corner or the next square.
