I Just purchased this today, so I haven’t started it yet. But, I can’t wait to get my hands on that yarn!

I just started this today. It is coming along beautifully. I love the magenta colored yarn. It isn’t neon in nature at all. I think it is the perfect color to depict water lilies. The picture looks more maroon in nature, and it is definitely not maroon. It is a dark magenta pink color.

So far, 36 rows into the pattern, the pattern has bee perfectly written and easy to follow. Based on these first 36 rows, I do think this could be a beginner lace project for an adventurous beginner who is looking to learn new skills along the way, not be afraid to practice those skills ahead of time and one looking for a new challenge.

Some skills you need to know before you start: ssk, 3/7 increase, sk2p, and of course knitting multiple stitches together and yarnover. If you can do those things and can follow the directions one row at a time, I think you can do this pattern.

So far, I’m loving it!

This has been finished for months! It was a super fun project! If you are worried about this, my advice would be to go for it. Before you starting knitting it, practice all the stitches you aren’t familiar with. If you are an advanced beginner or early intermediate knitter, there will be stitches you haven’t seen before, but they are all fairly simple. The most difficult stitch is the 3/7 increase. It isn’t hard in concept, it just can be a bit tricky because the stitches are tight and can be hard to get your needle through them. So practice that a few times before you get into this pattern. Outside of that, the pattern is impeccably written. Use a highlighter or stickers or something to keep very close track of where you are in the pattern. If you can literally take it step by step following the pattern to a T, you will have great success.

I thought the pattern was written crystal clear and left no room for misinterpretation. I sometimes find that to be an issue, but this pattern was perfection. The end product - GORGEOUS! Graceful… Everybody who sees can’t believe it was made by hand. And it was really fun working through each line and each section of the pattern. It worked up much faster than I thought it would.
