This is the second Retro Ornament Throw I’ve made. The first was two years ago, for myself. I’ve gotten SO many compliments on it since then. It really is a fantastic project. My grandma was one of the people who gushed about it, so I decided to make one for her this year.

I needed to buy more soft white, but had ALMOST enough colored yarn left from the first one. Sadly, I ran out of coral with TWO motifs left to go, then wound up running out of lavender, green, and the two pinks also. So I had to buy more yarn. :-/

I worked on the motifs here and there for months, then started joining them into strips while waiting for my other yarn to arrive. The motifs take forever, but it goes pretty fast once it’s time to join.

As always, I strongly recommend weaving in the ends as you go.
