I’d like to use similar yardage as my previous Dragon Arcoiris so I’ll use same hook and row counts. First ever true gradient Dragonfruit.

Doesn’t apply for me because I’ll be making row increases in just about every section, but a “no change” uses 10% in section 1, 25% in section 2, 45% in section 3, and 20% for the edge.

Section 1, started 08/24/24, completed 8/25/24, 5.49gm used.

28 rows total. Rows 26, 27, and 28 have shells reduced by 1, 2, and 3 DCs (my own version of alternate Row 24). Changed turning chain to CH2 and doesn’t count as a stitch. Weight uncles first row of Section 2, because I always forget it isn’t part of the first section.

Section 2, started 08/25/24, completed 08/27/24, 23.31gm used.

17 rows total. Row 1, once again went smoothly. I find it easiest to just count the 3 stitches that go into each row and not the total. Put extra SC at the halfway point (first chain) for later use in Row 2. Tweaked the placement of 1st column shell, but kept spacing the same, so middle col-sh goes into that extra/first/last SC (otherwise hard to have an odd number of shells centered over an even number of stitches). Ch4 at the end of final col-sh row (15) to give 3 extra stitches for 1st row of section 3. Didn’t double BLOSS in final row, no other changes.

Section 3, started 8/28/24, completed 9/07/24, 35.87gm used.

18 total rows. Took a week less than the stated time, as I didn’t work on this 29th-3rd. My only changes in Section 3 are: all SCs worked into the third chain of the V stitch AND first row of V stitches are worked into the chain space of the final row of shells from section 2. Unlike pattern ended with an even number of V stitches (86) to facilitate my changes to edging.

Added #173 unknown round silver lined gold bead after first row. First row changes:

• All stitches worked into the chain space of final row of V stitches in section 3
• CH5 between SC (first/last step of dtr groups)
• CH3 between SC and first/last dtr
• CH1 between 2nd and 3rd dtr

Second row changes:

• Bead in each picot

• 2 additional chains in the Pic-V that isn’t worked into the dtr group

• 2 additional SC in scale
