My last few hanks have some very pretty (IMO) splotchiness, which I think was caused by not fully untwisting the hanks before dunking the yarn

2.5mL (total) used to dye each 50 yard hank. That’s a little more than is needed because it didn’t completely exhaust in every color combination, but it’s an easy ratio and good starting point
