14/5 - did the sleeve colorwork and joined the sleeves in Malta. Did most of the big cross colorwork on the flight from Malta to Stockholm. It really helps to look at the pattern as a whole instead of line by line.
17/5 - not sure if the lighter pink really has enough contrast, but done is done. Hopefully the collar will bring out it more. Switched to the 3mm for the ribbing on the collar. Now if I can just find my wool needles for weaving in the ends… :)
18/5 - finished the collar and wove in the ends.
Had some issues with a sleeve bind-off that had unraveled - in hindsight, I should have tried to bind-off again instead of just picking up the stitches. Live and learn!
Did a good job with sewing up the sleeves, though.
The final product is quite impressive - I’m looking forward to seeing what it looks like washed and blocked.
20/5 - Washed and blocked this today. Thought I was only going out for an hour, so set it up in the sink with some wool detergent. I only remembered it at 17:30, give or take 10.5 hours later. It had absorbed all of the water in the sink, it must have been 8 or so liters of water! It’s stretched out and drying now, after getting rid of as much wtaer as possible.
Wet wool smells like wet dogs. :)
16/6 - It’s beautiful! I finally got around to putting it away. Turns out that Aubrey won’t wear pullovers, though the color was right. Let’s see who else might want it - or I can save it for a while.
