I ripped out the first 15 rows several times until I got the tension on the slip stitch row just right. I tend to crochet quite snugly and neatly, but I found it best to do the slip stitch row a little more loosely than normal. Otherwise it was difficult to do the following DC row.
This really only needs a gentle blocking to un-curl the points… Don’t be too violent or the little texture ribs will likely disappear.
The piece comes out sort of long and narrow. I’d almost call it a scarf rather than a shawl.
