It’s really not accurate to say I used an “I” hook for this project. It is made of all the swatches I could find, and the yarn is mostly worsted weight. I like to use an “I” hook for that weight yarn, although I’m sure I used “H,” and “J,” maybe even “K” hooks as well.
I had to add a few new swatches and crocheted in other places so that the resulting afghan is more or less square. It’s actually the size of a lapghan.
I enjoyed making this. I guess you could say it’s a little free form-y. I think if I did it again, I would separate some of the same-color swatches so that they are more evenly distribued throughout the afghan.
I entered it in the first Crochet Guild of America Design Contest. It will be interesting to see if it gets noticed.
