The pattern for this sweater was literally told to me by a business associate when I was on a business trip back in the 90s. I’m pretty sure she got her inspiration from the “cross stitch” which can be found in many stitch dictionaries.
There is a free pattern for it on my blog. The right and left sides are crocheted vertically, which makes it easy to adjust to your size. You can also make it as long or as short as you want.
However, there is no gauge, no measurements, and only some pretty rough schematics, but I think you’ll be able to follow the pattern easily enough.
As you can see from the photos, while I make the buttonholes, I never seem to get around to adding buttons.
I’m developing a “crochet along” to make it which I will be featuring on my blog sometime in the near future, but don’t hold me to that date.
