So, after searching unsuccessfully for a Mary Poppins scarf pattern that I liked, I decided to make my own and I love it. It’s very simple and here it is:
Using a soft fingering-weight yarn in shades of peach and apricot and size 6 straight wooden knitting needles, starting with the lighter color I cast on 27 stitches. Then, I knit 6 rows, always slipping the first stitch after the first row. Beginning with the 7th row, I slip the first stitch, knit 2 stitches, yarn over and knit 2 together, repeat * untilI I knit the last 3 stitches. After that, knit 4 rows, always slipping first stitch. Repeat 5 times and switch to the darker color. Once I reached my desired length, I knit the last 6 rows always slipping the first stick of course and bind off.* Add fringe on both sides and that’s it! “Practically Perfect in Every Way!”
