Second time, knitting without the pattern.

October 2nd. Rather than slip stich the 2 corner stitches that divide the 3 sections, I’ve decided to knit them on both sides. The slip stitches look nice but they add a weakness to the garment, I think. Also, for the increases, this time I’m doing m1l and m1r instead of k1bf. We’ll see how it looks. I’ve finished the solid bit, ending with 64 stitches in each section and just started the Feather and Fan.

Finished. For the record, I did two repeats of Sharon Millers chart that accompanies the Cobweb Crepe pattern in the Book Heirloom Knitting. I’m wondering whether I should dissociate this project from the 3/4 Hap pattern page. There are many shawls like it, but that pattern was my inspiration.
