This is an experiment. I’m using one skein of royal blue and the other variegated. I cast on 120 stitches and I am eyeballing the depth of it.

Results: felted in a hot water in a record 6 minutes. I’ve never had anything felt so quickly. Thinking about zipper vs. drawstring while it dries out.

Sewed on zipper - big mistake as it stretch out the edges. Picked it out and plan to felt the bag a little more to calm edges. Next: Sew a zipper into a lining and stitch that into the back. Cut out a stiff piece of plastic to make the bottom keep its shape.

In the End. I ripped out the zipper and sewed it onto a pink satin lining, then tacked that in. It’s quite nice.
