I love how these look, but got bored making them, particularly because of the amount of 1x1 ribbing. I used a fingering yarn held double, CO 80 stitches, and did 8 pattern repeats. Stretched completely out they come to just over the knee.

Mom keeps asking for legwarmers, so I’m starting her Holiday present now being as it’s still too hot to work on my hubby’s sweater!
8/20/13:
My gauge was completely off, but I feel like there must be something I’m missing. Everyone seems to have used similar weight yarn on similar needles, and hasn’t had a problem. So I went with it and cast on the recommended 80 stitches. I’m only about 1 1/2 inches into the ribbing, and so far I think the gauge will be right. I hope!

I hate how these are knitting up. I’ve only gotten about 1 1/2 inches into the ribbing and I think I’m going to rip it out and try it with the yarn held double. I just don’t see this being durable enough for leg warmers. Next time I have to remember to read yarn reviews before buying!!
8/22/13:
Finally finished the ribbing on the first cuff and starting the pattern. I’m loving how the yarn looks held double, though I seen to have had a lot of dropped stitches with it, and I split it constantly.
8/27/13:
I’ve finished 6 repeats of the pattern, and I’ve decided that it needs to be 2-4 repeats longer, which means I need more yarn. I’m almost through the first ball (which is really 2 skeins wound together and held double), and can get maybe one more repeat out of it if I’m lucky! I have one ball left (also wound double), so I think 2 more skeins should be enough.
9/1/13:
8 repeats should be perfect, just ordered 2 more skeins to be able to finish. Used up my first ball 2 rounds shy of finishing the 7th repeat.
9/2/13:
One done!
9/11/13:
I’m exactly half way through the second, and cannot wait to be done with this yarn. They’re looking great through, and I think Mom will love them!

Finally got around to finishing the ribbing on the second warmer! I’ll take pictures tomorrow…
