Yarn was unknown - received in a swap! Lots of earthy tones - perfect for a nest. A bulky, slubby yarn. Lovely stuff.

Once I had the nest complete, I tied on threads to the outside to look like grass sticking out :) Then I felted in washing machine. Took three washes to get it the way I liked it. Love love love it!

My eggs are not felted, but I did use Trisha Mitberg’s Felted Eggs pattern. My nest was inspired by her knitted one. (I didn’t have big enough double-pointed needles - hence the crochet version!)

I’d love to use the nest for a centre piece for Easter dinner with the family. I’ll have some knitted eggs and some chocolate eggs in it too :)
