Despite my pledge to next time knit this in the round, I am not, so there. Because after my previous knit I just want to knit something fast, in small pieces. I know I will regret this when it’s sewing up time. But I am living in the knitting moment.

This version is for Fred. I am at least remembering to use a smaller needle…and I must remember not to knit the sleeves according to the pattern. The littlest boy in my life is not so small, but nor does he have the giant sized limbs suggested by this pattern.

Oh bother, forgot my knitting pledge because I was watching The Wire, so have huge arms again. Never mind, turn back cuffs are good for babies, aren’t they? I DID remember to make the button band wider - it looks much better.

Sewing up to do (snork, snork…) but will wait until it’s daylight…then buttons, blocking and parcel in the post time.

Sewing up wasn’t so bad after all. I did my decreases the ‘other’ way so they have a little tail rather than making a neat chain stitch. Hmmm, wish I hadn’t, they look ugly. After I cast off I decided the hood was too small for Fred’s big noggin…so unpicked and added a few more rows. Off to the post office now, wooooo!
