Kate saw the moccasins I made last year for Sonny on my project page and asked me to make some for Fred. The idea is to protect his toes a bit now he’s a crawler. (Such a genius…)

Last time I think my gauge was off. The boots were super-cute but way too floppy and didn’t stay on. So this time I am paying a bit more attention and using a smaller needle…not sure what to do about size, though. Fred has not exactly small feet - but the 6-12 month size looked huge when I cast on, so I’m sticking with the small size on the basis they’ll stretch (?) Getting a much more substantial fabric with this needle size. All good so far…

Blocking loosened them up, so they are nice and stretchy…hope they stretch enough for El Fred’s feet. We’ll see…
