Just back from lovely holiday in New Quay, Wales (where Dylan Thomas wrote part of Under Milk Wood) with the lovely Fred (and his lovely cousins and Mums and Dads too)

Inspired by the beautifully painted houses there for this little sweater. Making it a little smaller this time, though Fred is not THAT much tinier than his skinny older cousin.

Casting on 102.

Blimey. Having a puppy to look after eats into knitting time. Especially when he found this work in progress and took it for a walk round the garden when I was on sleeve two. Two hours of untangling once I rescued it.

Fred is coming tomorrow, so I can give it to him then. The yarn is really soft, so no itchy-scratchy. I think the sleeves will be too long, but hey, they can be turned back to reveal the contrast cuffs…what style! This is an AMAZING blue, much nicer than I thought it would be (it’s called electric blue in the catalogue, but it’s deeper and warmer than it looked.)

Puppy is now eating my coat. Sigh. Who knows when I’ll pick up my lurking two at a time socks to finish them?
