A mixture of Shetland wool.
In these I’m showing how a Fair Isle pattern can be used in a pair of socks.
A friend and former colleague, Sheila and I had a FI Beginner class over Shetland Wool Week where we gave out a pattern and supported participants with how to knit a headband. We had a great group and had fun. I started these last week and am working carefully down towards the toes now.
I cast up 72 loops. Eye of the partridge heel.

On toe now and will complete tonight. Made generously long as they’ll be a cosy layering sock for home mostly I’m thinking.

Casting on second this early morning, it’s quite a wet and windy day here, no walking outside!

I’m on the heel of the second sock and strangely it is knitting up quickly! grin

Finished heavy_check_mark and washing them and boarding tonight. These will be luxurious on my feet foot in winter cold_face time.

I need to check the yellow used as my pop of colour! It’s either Jamieson and Smith or Jamieson’s of Shetland = I’ll find out soon!
