Notes

Bought the book years ago and made other socks from the book already but not these and at last have sock yarns that will make them! Cast on whilst waiting for procedure in local hospital which was a good use of my time! The top down socks start with a little fancy lace top.

27-01-2025

Turned the heel and now knitting stripes down to toe. I’ll save this easy bit for knitting in North Roe tomorrow night.
Cast on a pair of Fair Isle gloves tonight for I’ve lots blue cuffs my Dad made me in summer 2024 on da knitting machine to knit up.

31-01-2025

Completed the first. I grafted the 8 loops left instead of pattern instructions to simply thread through yarn and pull together.

19-02-2025

Turned the heel on second sock.

21-02-2025

All ends in and washed. Drying overnight on my sock board. Pictures tomorrow in between looking after the dogs as their master at Northmavine UHA!
