Swatching! Hope I can get guage!!! Knitting this as part of the Luvinthemommyhood SSKal 2013 until September 18th and as part of Untangling Knots Hetty KAL from September 15th.

August 31 Update : started in on the back tonight! Only managed a few rows tonight. Too tired. Knitting + dozing off = potential disaster!! Will get more done tomorrow.

September 3 Update : up to the point of joining backs and fronts! Very happy with this project so far!

September 15 Update : I’ve decided to do a few less decreases - I’m a bit worried it’ll be to slender in the waist if I do all of them. Instead of having a total of 121 stitches, I’m stopping at 129 stitches. Also I think I’m going to add a wee bit more length in the torso, so it doesn’t end up quite so short on me.

I am absolutely loving knitting this!

September 20 Update : just cast off the body! Onto the sleeves!!!

September 21 Update : I’m such a goof. Instead of starting the sleeves last night I procrastinated… And did the button bands and neckline instead. Ha ha. Now I’ll start the sleeves. Really! I will! ;)

September 24 Update : had to start sleeves twice - short rows and exhaustion do not mix well for me. I kept getting muddled. Finally had a stern talk with myself and got things underway. Almost done the short rows on the first sleeve, and wish I could stay awake long enough to finish them, but I’d better stop now while the going’s good!

September 26 Update : these sleeves are flying off the needles! Whoot!!!!! Halfway through the second sleeve. My goal is to finish and start blocking by tomorrow evening!

September 27 Update : DONE!!!!!!! Dry wool, dry!!!! I want to wear my new cardi!!!!!

September 29 Update : sweater is dry, buttons are sewn on, I’ve tried it on and LOVE it! Perfect fit, perfect colour, perfect pattern! I’ll get SurlySuzy to take a few pics for me tonight at supper!
