Used a 1x1 cable cast on, moving the yarn from back to front or front to back before putting the new stitch on the left needle.

I’m worried it’s a bit tall for the circumference, but maybe it will just be a bit slouchy.

I did seed stitch instead of double seed stitch and did some cables after the ribbing to match the blanket I made for Lonnie. I also made the ribbing 2” long so it could be turned up. I think I should have made it longer, but I will only know when I see the hat on an actual baby’s head.
