So I making another of Hermione’s hats! This time the lovely red bobble hat from PoA. I am very glad that someone has worked out this pattern! Making it free is even better! Thank you so much Kashikhan! <3

Day One: Starting it now :) Yarn came in yesterday and the color looks really nice with my skin. Reds can be finicky, but most cool, dark reds highlight my coloring. I have most of the ribbing done, I decided to do as others did, make 24 rows so when it’s folded its 2 inches.

Day Two: Almost done with the “body” part of the pattern. I had to look up how to make bobbles, and I assumed the “mB” meant make bobble. I love the way this hat is coming along. I’m nervous about starting the decrease section because a lot of feedback says its easy to lose your place. Here’s hoping it all goes well!

Day Three: Decrease wasn’t to hard, only lost my place twice, really. It all worked out for me. I think the hat is slightly pointed at the tip, which looks a little funny, but it’s no big deal. I love my new hat! <3 This hat is perfect for winter! So warm and snuggly! Some mentioned that it was a bit tight, but maybe my head is small because I think it fits very well.
