July 18, 2016: After a couple of froggings and restartings, I finally completed the first lace section last night and have begun the short row stockinette portion. Lifelines have been hugely important in making progress.

The trick to frogging a piece with beads in it is to put the piece in a large-enough Ziploc style bag and close the zip, leaving just enough space for the thread to come through, then frog away to your heart’s content. The beads will spill into the bottom of the bag and you can collect them afterward.

August 22, 2016: Blocked with light spray starch and then ironed with damp tea towel. It worked!
