Notes

2025-02-12

Swatched with 6.0mm needles and got 12.5-13.5 sts/4” when pattern calls for 14.5

All my foot measurements are bigger than what the pattern says, so I assume it wants a negative ease. Between the larger gauge and my feet being kinda average sized, cast on the middle size.

Had 4 failed tries with the wrong number of stitches before I gave up and didn’t try to purl (through back loop) on the first row of the figure-8 cast on

Finished except for grafting the toe.

Foot diameter seems about right , but it only comes halfway up my heel and I want it to cover more.

Cast on second slipper with 6 (cable) + 1 (purl) + 8 = 15 x 2 = 30 sts and 5.0mm needles. Let’s see how this works out

Finished slipper with several modifications

Used 5.0mm needles
Cast on 15 sts
Don’t purl through back loop on first row, just knit everything
5 cable repeats until join - seems too small but is nicely snug around my ankle.
During joining chart, no RLI or LLI until the 7th row of the chart and added increases to the first row after the chart ends(the one with ssp)
Remember to knit through back loop on LLI
This left me with 32 sts, so followed pattern for large until the end
