#M20317 GFD, Juneau Knit Mittens

Pattern calls for a discontinued yarn, I’m using leftovers from my Black Panther cowls.

Mitts #1 (Patty’s) -Started 11/9, finished 11/11; CO 16 stitches using the thumb method and follow pattern. The Go for Faux yarn is lighter than the faux fur in the original pattern so I added 3 extra stitches.
After the faux fur cuff change to the Fifty Fifty and size 11 needles, increase to 20 stitches. Knit through row 12 of hand, knit one garter ridge and BO using a size 11 needle. Thought I’d turn these into fingerless mitts and see how that worked. Knit 6 rows in stockinette for the thumb and bind off. Patty’s are quite long for mitts but they should be very warm! Patty has much longer fingers than I do, hopefully these will work!

Mitts #2, (Donna’s) - S 11/11, F (these have been on hold since 11/12, thought it was time to get them done!); I’m knitting these on size 11’s throughout, and making the cuffs a bit longer. I don’t have enough Fifty Fifty yarn to finish mine, I’ll use some of leftover non-fur yarn from the “Go for Faux” that I made our hats with.
CO 17 stitches, knit 10 rows, change to smooth yarn and knit one row even. Increase to 20 stitches and knit to pattern thru row 8 of body, knit one garter ridge, BO with a size 13 needle.
