Followed the pattern for size small, CO 61 stitches onto a size 10 1/2 needle using the Avocado colorway, changed to size 10’s and knit in 1x1 ribbing for 2”. Switched to size 11’s and the Forest Print yarn. I wanted to do the slip stitches in the Avocado color, i knit row 3 in it. I added length to the crown, knit to 6” before starting decrease rounds.
Every time I knit this pattern I struggle with the brim. I never remember which side to pick up the stitches from. I start from the right side, finished the brim on a size 9 needle as the pattern says. The brim folds toward the right and I’m terrible at hand stitching. The BO was also a bit tight so I tinked it and started again. This time I picked up from the left but I did something funky and it looked bad. Hopefully the third time works! Picked up the stitches from the left, right side facing. That put the right side of the brim up, and the brim will go to the inside. Worked great! Went to BO and discovered I’d use a size 10 needle, I actually like it. BO using a suspended BO on a size 11 needle.
