Hat - CO 81 stitches onto a size 8 needle, change to size 7’s and knit 6 rows, purl one row (to stop the rolled edge from going any farther) and continue knitting til hat reaches 6 1/2” from purl row. Decrease to pattern. I love this! Perfect pattern for this yarn! I should have made it just a touch longer, next time . Used 65 grms of yarn.

Cowl - CO 36 stitches using a size 11 needle and a provisional CO, knit one row, knit to pattern.
10/27/23 Note: I dropped several stitches doing my 3-needle bind off, and am struggling picking them up. Think overall I’ll be happier if i use the size 13 needle called for in the pattern. Frogged and ready to start over.

Cowl - Redo: CO 32 stitches onto a size 9 needle using a provisional CO, knit 8 garter ridges, change to size 13’s on the back of the last row, knit to pattern for 22-23”. I like the look of Kay Hopkins’ Multnomah Falls cowl (double falls) do I’m going to add a 2” garter ridge section at this point using size 9’s, then switch back.
