Shawl - CO 50 stitches into a size 10 1/2 needle, knit through row 5 &6 repeats of section 2, change to size 11’s and continue to pattern. Through section 5, this skein is mostly the aqua & periwinkle colors twisted together, can’t wait to get to the other colors!

Started this while sitting in the doctor’s office waiting for my BFF, wanted a nice simple pattern i didn’t have to think about. However I didn’t pay enough attention to what I was doing and missed the second half of section 2. Seemed fine til I got to section 7 and discovered I was off by 22 stitches! Tinked back to the end of section 1; all caught up and looking good! Knit through section 12, decided to do 2 garter ridges and BO using a suspended BO instead of the picot edge. BO using a size 13 needle; used 280g

Hat - used the Garter Band“ hat pattern for the size and overall shape. I CO 81 stitches into size 6’s, change to 5’s and knit as follows:

1. Knit 4 garter ridges including the CO edge
2. Knit 3 rounds
3. Knit 3 garter ridges
4. Knit 3 rounds
5. Knit 2 garter ridges
6. Knit 3 rounds
7. Knit 1 garter ridge
8. Change to size 6’s and knit 4 rounds (should be about 2” from CO edge
9. Finish to pattern.
