I used two 29 inch size 8 needles plus a spare 29 inch needle to hold all the stiches. The last four rows the needles were loaded down.

I was concerned about managing the high number of stitches, and was not sure what was happening with the pattern. But I like the result and ordered a book from the same designer to try one her other shawl patterns.
