This yarn colorway is incredibly vivid and swoon worthy, as all the yarns seem to be at Saffon Dyeworks. The pattern is easy to follow so far (I am working on the first 72 rows).
As a beginner knitter, and my first shawl attempt, I did have trouble with the garter stitch directions before the first row begins. Further investigating describes this as a garter stitch tab and there are plenty of web videos and sites that describe this technique for starting triangular shawls from the top down.
This yarn is actually listed on the label and on the Saffron Dyeworks website as 2-ply fingering weight, not 3-ply, if that makes a difference to anyone in their search for a substitute yarn.

Just a few more rows to go until Row 73 and the lace section part of the pattern. Getting a little worried as I’ve noticed the ball getting smaller and the rows increasing. I know some other knitters have just barely had enough yarn to finish the project, so fingers will stay crossed at this point. It is looking very lovely, I have to say.

I put this aside in a dark hole because I ran out of my one of a kind skein. It was sad, crumpled, and unfinished. But Libby at Truly Myrtle is having a SAL, Spoil Yourself Make-a-Long. I decided that this shawl now needs to be finished. I used some complimentary yarn to finish up. Now just need to weave in ends and block. I had such a vexing time in the middle of this project, my stitch count was not matching the directions. I finally figured out the trouble after ripping out and frogging 3 times. My love bug cattle dog, Anjea, launches herself into my lap when I’m in mid row. When I got back to my knitting I was inadvertently turning my work & knitting back over the stitches just knit! Jeesh! What a journey this has been. I’m renaming this the Anjea Damson!
