Notes

We named our book club The HoneyBees. So I am knitting a surprise Valentine’s Day gift for them: washcloths with a honeycomb pattern. Included in the package will be goat milk soaps, one with a bee motif and the other with a honeycomb motif. Soaps made with oatmeal, almond oil, and honey.

Finished with contrasting applied I-cord edging. Highly recommend blocking. See photos showing curled I-cord edging pre- and post-blocking.

Notes: slip stitches as if to purl with yarn in front on both right and wrong sides.
I used a DK weight on US 4 needles, so I cast on 39 sts rather than 35 sts (my gauge is 5 sts/in). I repeated rows 1-12 6x rather than 5x.
Five cloths. Each cloth used 26g + 8-10g icord; approx 34-36g and 73-78y per cloth.
Measurements post-blocking are 8 x 8.25”
