I have a black thumb, so…
…maybe I will do better with yarn plants! This project is part of the PlanetJune BotaniCAL.
Since I have an actual ceramic pot to use, I didn’t make the yarn pot in the pattern. I modified the large soil mound so it would fit into this pot by using a 5.5mm hook and adding the following steps after round 11:
R12: BLO sc around (54)
R13-15: sc around (54)
R16: BLO sc around (54)
R17: (invdec, sc in next 4 st) repeat around (45)
R18: (sc in next 3 st, invdec) repeat around (36)
R19: (invdec, sc in next 2 st) repeat around (27)
R20: (sc, invdec) repeat around (18)
R21: (invdec, sc] repeat around (12)
Stuff the dirt firmly.
R22: (sc, invdec) repeat around (6)
Close up the hole and weave in the end.
I modified round 4 of the large leaf as follows to make the stitch pattern more symmetrical:
R4: (INC, sc in next 2 st) twice, sc in next st, hdc in same st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in same st, (sc in next 2 st, INC) twice, sc in next 2 st, sl st to end the round.
I also modified round 4 of the small leaf as follows to make it similar to the large leaf:
R4: (INC, sc in next 2 st) twice, sc in next st, hdc in same st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in same st, sc in next 2 st, INC, sc in next 2 st, sl st to end the round.
