I have previously made socks on a double bed machine, knitting circular. I am interested in learning to knit them flat and seam, to do all-over fair isle or lace patterns. This was my first attempt.
The ankle, foot, heel and toe - all good. But the seam turned out just awful! And the latched up ribbing and top edge were so tight I couldn’t get the sock over my foot.
So, more work to do.
I did learn that it makes a big difference when wrapping the short row ends if I pull up on the yarn just prior to knitting back across. I was very pleased with the lack of gaping holes at the heel. I did wrap both reducing and increasing.
This also happened to be my first project on the KH-341, which I like a lot!
