I decided to give this a shot using straight needles before I go back to working on the modcloth cold loop that I have failed so miserably with.

~sept 21 - I stopped and counted my stiches and some how went from 131 to 143. I should pay more attention when knitting I guess. I am having fun with the seed stitch. It is also a very easy stitch.

~sept 25 - I measured yesterday and I am about 7 inches in. Very exciting! I was not liking the look of the seed stitch when I was doing it a bit looser, as this is my first real project I will be able to finish, I decided to try knitting a bit tigher. I like the look a lot more. I hope it doesn’t look goofy when it is all done, I really want to be able to use it, and I didn’t want to start over.

~ I finished off all the knitting yesterday and sewed up my seam today. It was a piece of cake and a great starter project. Relatively quick, loads of fun and really makes sure you know how to knit and purl.
