When changing colors I carried the not active color up through the chain 3 of the active color. I’m not sure if it was necessary since the border covers that part, but I did it anyway.

I really enjoyed this shawl. It was great to take with me on trips, was easy to put down and pick right back up, and worked up very quickly. This is great for a new crocheter who is comfortable with US double crochet stitches.
