I wanted to go for a different look, so here are my modification notes:

Nose: ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hk. Sl st to first sc. Bind off with a 10” tail. I sewed nose on Rnds 14-16 on the face area.

I added an extra sc Rnd after Rnd 17 on the head.

I made a loop stitch hair cap instead. I also made a separate loop stitch piece for the back of his head. And crocheted a pair of sideburns.

Loop Stitch Top Hair Piece: With dark brown worsted weight yarn and 3.75 mm hook, ch 4, sl st to first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: LS 6 sts into ring.
Rnd 2: LS increase 6 times- 12 LS.
Rnd 3: (LS next st, LS increase) 6 times- 18 LS.
Rnd 4: (LS next 2 sts, LS increase) 6 times- 24 LS.
Rnd 5: (LS next 3 sts, LS increase) 6 times- 30 LS.
Rnd 6: (LS next 4 sts, LS increase) 6 times- 36 LS.
Rnd 7: (LS next 5 sts, LS increase) 6 times- 42 LS.
Rnd 8: (LS next 6 sts, LS increase) 6 times- 48 LS. Sl st to first st. Bind off with long tail.

Back Hair Piece: With dark brown and 3.75 mm, ch 14.
Row 1: LS in second ch from hk and in each ch across- 13 LS.
Row 2: Turn; ch 1, sc across.
Row 3: Turn; LS across.
Row 4: Turn; ch 1, sc across.
Row 5: Turn; LS across. Bind off with long tail.

Sideburns (make 2): With dark brown and 3.75mm, ch 3.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hk and last ch- 2 sts.
Rows 2-5: Turn; ch 1, sc across. Bind off with long tail.

I hand-stitched on a white happy mouth using worsted weight yarn.

For all accessories including the vest, I used a 5.00 mm hook size (because I have a tight tension). On jacket sleeves, I shortened it and did 2 sc Rnds instead for the cuffs. Because I used worsted weight yarn, I only ch 5 for the scarf (4 sc total) and halved colored directions.
