Notes

At first I didn’t believe I could make a pair of crocheted fingerless mitts with just one skein of self-striping yarn but here they are, and with yarn leftover! This is my first project working with fingering weight yarn. It is surprisingly easy to work with and the self-striping colors make it fun from start to finish.

Notes to self for future reference:

Chain 50 (after crocheting 1 round, equals 49 sts).

At the start of the first color change, decrease 3 times after every 6th st (46 sts). At the start of third color change, decrease 3 times after every 6th st (43 sts). Estimated of 40 rounds so far. Increasing side for thumb, in beginning of round, increase twice in both loops of sts, sc rem sts. Sc in next round. (Sc in next, increase) twice, sc in rem sts. Sc for 10 more rounds. Increase in both loop of st (in last st of last round), ch 3, skip 12 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in back loops as normal. Do 6 rounds afterwards. Sl st to first sc. Bind off.
