When I started, I just trusted the pattern, but then the construction started to make sense. I again questioned the result when finishing the last of the repeats. It all turned out as it should! These are my reasons for marking the pattern as medium difficulty.

My only complaint is that the knitting seemed to take forever. But the hat is lovely, and very warm. I’m sure I’ll wear it often when Houston weather allows.

The finished hat is a little roomier than I envisioned. I didn’t feel like it really worked on me, so I gifted it to my friend Julie. She loves it.

12.16.13 Yeah, not sure why it took me 11 weeks to seam, but it did. Finished! Just need to photograph.
