Notes

Warp is hand spun 2-ply yarn: 1 ply variegated silk, 1 ply variegated cotton. 4 warps of the black were used on each side as a narrow border.

Weft is 12/2 black.

I chose a simple warp-faced inkle even-weave to use with the hand spun so as to let the colors serendipitously create their own pattern.

Beginning and end of weaving are hemstitched into approximate 1/6 th’s. Then the 2-each of the warp end groupings are made into twisted fringe.
