I used the general measurements and stitch numbers from my adapted Leftovers Cowl:
146 st. wide (incl. two seam stitches)
560 rows.
I designed the punchcard specifically for this project, my idea was to use up some more of my sock yarn stash in shades of blue together with cream/natural. The pattern has a repeat of 24 st x 40 rows.
The floats at the back partially very long. I will recalculate this card for double bed jacquard, then it will be more versatile. But for the cowl it was fine as all the floats are hiding within it.
Tension 7 on my SK280.
First I had planned to do block stripes for background but then I decided for these large blocks, so the cowl changes it’s appearance when wrapped. The two royal blue blocks used up 50 grams each. In total the cowl weighs 370 g. It is quite warm which is perfect as my craft room tends to be cold and I am always freezing…
