Using the pattern for a machine-knit version, therefore some modifications in construction were necessary:

1. It is always easier to knit the parts flat and separately.
2. Using my KX-350 with two carriages for the odd-number stripes part and therefore working on an elongated needlebed. This machine has no ribber, therefore the ribbing has to be done manually by dropping and rebuilding the stitches afterwards.
3. The instruction tells to do the increases for the arms on the upper side (well, it does not tell so explicitly but the drawing shows it clearly). This is necessary for a nice drape. When machine knitting you cannot easily increase in the middle of a row, you have to do so near the edge. As I did not want the seam on the upper side of the arm, I did a geometric recalculation that resulted in a very similar shape - but slightly different striping vs. the original design.

Other modifications:

• Doing a moderate A-line shaping in the lower half of back and front.
• Knitting I-cords on all borders. 3-stitch I-cords on the arms in contrast colour, 2-stitch I-cords on the lower edge of front and back. For the I-cords I used my MK-70 which has an I-cord setting (no pushing the needles to holding position after knitting a row, they are being slipped directly in B-position)
