Notes

I knitted this tiny cat with the remnants of a very soft and cozy sock yarn which I had used for a pair of very plain men’s socks, not worthy of having a Ravelry project.
While knitting the socks I repeatedly thought that this yarn wanted to be a cat…

I used an old instruction for “Strickpüppchen” (tiny knitted dolls) as starting point. Instead of decreasing for the head or a pointed hat I knitted straight up to the end, closed the upper edge and formed the ears with a few diagonal stitches.

I embroidered the face and claws with 3-ply sock yarn and the ears with kid silk yarn.

The tail is a three-stitcch I-cord which I knitted on the knitting machine. It could have been done manually but this way it was much easier.
