Hillside is worked sideways with lace chevron and garter stitch. The two halves of the shawl are mirror images of each other. You start and end with just 2 stitches, increasing to the halfway point and then decreasing on the other half. No bind off needed!

The focal point is the beautiful diamond pattern that decorates the middle. It’s intuitive to knit and catches the eye when the shawl is wrapped around your neck.
