Notes

This was very loosely based on the Customizable Crochet Poncho. Changes to the pattern:

I’m using an N hook instead of the recommended P; the P just seemed too big for the yarn, and I also don’t want too open a fabric.

I read a couple comments that the starting chain could cause the poncho to curl, so I used FSC instead; 150 FSC followed by a row a HDC, and then into the DC rows. Instead of standard DC, I went under all three strands -- is that considered a brick stitch? In any event, I did seven rows of it, then followed with 13 rows of regular DC.

I ended with 4 rows of Samurai Stitch; it was new to me, but easy to pick up, and it looks REALLY cool. I SC’d the bottom edge, up one side, and then slip stitched the top together until I felt the neckline was right. I finished off, then rejoined the yarn and SC the other side edge. The last thing I did was stitched the bottom corner together just a bit, to form something of a sleeve.

I love the final result!
