This hat is fun, I’ve been trying to get Tristan to wear cute hats but he just rips them off so I thought a hat with a chin strap and button would help keep hats on his head and his head warm this winter :D

  • I knitted this in the round, attached the straps and aviator flap and then joined the round and went on from there.
  • I also didn’t increase the full number of stitches as it would leave too many pearls in the back so I -3 stitches which worked up to be the prefect amount.
  • The decreasing was a bit tricky not having pearl rows so I just winged it, turned out great.
  • Decided to wash this yarn and see if it softens up, its a little on the stiff side from sitting in a box for a long time.
